Art studios "The other side of the Neris"

Idea

It is an old building belonging to the Artists' Union and it is home to ceramic artists' studios. As a Kaunas2022 Community Facilitator, I started to curate these artist studios. We participate in various events in the city and organised events for the community.

Tame your neighbour

Community activities started with finding a place to gather. We created the "Tame a Neighbour" campaign. We tried to wittily invite our neighbours to join in the community activities.

Ceramics studios

When the community activities moved to the Ceramics Studio, we started inviting people to participate. To do this, we created a visual identity for the studio. Since the studios are located by the river Neris, we use river and water motifs in the visuals.

Exhibitions. Curating and design.

In the studios, we organise ceramics, printmaking and other workshops. We also organise exhibitions to involve members of the community.

To make our community and volunteer work at least partially profitable, we decided to open an art shop. At the moment, the website is still under construction.
